Intro to Academic drawing with James Sondow is a great place to start if you are just beginning your journey into classical approach.
Topics covered will include the constructive drawing of geometric shapes, facial features and complex design elements.
James by professions is not only an instructor, he is a sculptor as well. Having studied at the I.E. Repin State Institute of Fine Arts and Architecture, he has a broad understanding of the basic principles of constructive art. He is primarily a sculptor, which gives him unique insight into approaching the translation of sculpture into drawing.
