ONLINE WORKSHOP: Portrait Drawing with Gilberto Geraldo

An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Thursday, repeating until April 29, 2021
This online workshop with Gilberto Geraldo will teach participants constructive academic drawing and expressive mark-making techniques to aid in accurately rendering all aspects of the portrait.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Copying from one of Gilberto’s own drawings, students will focus heavily on human anatomy, perspective, and tactile approaches to analyzing form.
Gilberto will be live on Zoom during this online workshop from 10:30am-5:00pm EST for 5 full sessions Thursdays April 1st – 29th. During this workshop students will spend a full 30 hours with Gilberto drawing, receiving in-depth critiques, and listening to lectures.
Gilberto, chair of Princeton Academy of Art’s Drawing and Painting Departments, is a Brazilian born artist who has studied at both the V.A. Surikov Institute Moscow and the I.E. Repin State Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in St. Petersburg, Russia.
